Netflix Releases a Gorgeous Kanthony Sneak Peek for ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3

Bridgerton Season 3 is right around the corner, which means we’re due for a few sneak peeks. There’s much we learned during the Valentine’s Day fan event, and we already have a lot of hopes for Season 4. Still, today, right at this moment, it’s all about Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton, affectionally known as Kanthony to the fans.

Netflix’s latest sneak peek starts with a glimpse into Hannah Dodd’s embodiment of Francesca Bridgerton; then it ends with a gorgeous, glowing dance featuring the ton’s viscount and viscountess, as well as a somber appearance from leading lady Penelope Featherington.

[Disclaimer: we’re jaded people here. Frankly, with the way TV shows pan out these days, we’ve very much become the “I’ll believe it when I see it” type of people. With the way things can be cut and edited for the final product, it was hard to believe we’d actually get to see what married life was like for Lord and Lady Bridgerton. But I’m happy to bite my tongue and cry about it now.]

Now, while the latest Bridgerton Season 3 sneak peek is only a mere minute long and solely a fraction of what the episode will be like, it shows us plenty, which is in large part because of Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley’s portrayals of the besotted duo. From the first instant they raced each other at the park to their final scene out on the fields of Aubrey Hall, Bailey and Ashley proved to the audience that they understand their characters on a profoundly intimate level.

Thus, in the brief sneak peek we see the two of them in, they bring to life what’s inarguably Lady Whistledown’s most esteemed column. (We’ll have more words about this once we get the more extended cut upon the episode’s release.) Still, it’s familiar to yet another Bridgerton dance, one that Simon and Daphne have in Season 1, Episode 2.

Kanthony’s sneak peek dance acts as a gorgeous exhibition of the fact that theirs is indeed a love match. It’s proof of the detail that Anthony is calmer, less on edge, less broken, and less burdened because all he has to do is look across the room and find the unbridled love in Kate’s eyes. Simultaneously, the kaleidoscopic gleam in Kate’s smile when he steals a kiss from her reminds us that she’s also unrestrained now, safer, significantly happier, and content to live her life as she deserves because, for the first time, someone else is taking care of her.

So, while they take on the dance floor and chase away each other’s burdens time and again, we have concrete proof of how love has rewired them in the best way possible. The contentment shines through so seamlessly that even if you have no context of Bridgerton or Kanthony as a couple, you can see adoration brimming with every look and every touch. It’s, quite frankly, overwhelming in the best way because no two people on the series have shouldered unbearable crosses the way they have. No two people have broken apart repeatedly without someone sitting with them through the darkness. But that’s a thing of the past now because this new Kanthony era is an authentic showcase of an unwavering partnership, love in its most sincere form, and a glance into what a lasting marriage should look like.
