Everything We Know About Netflix’s People We Meet on Vacation

Since the announcement that Emily Henry’s People We Meet on Vacation was being adapted, we haven’t thought of anything since. Okay, that’s a lie, we’ve also thought of all her other books getting adapted. Still, with its incredible casting and the need for more romance on our screens, we’re eagerly awaiting any news we get before we can finally watch the film on repeat.

When Is People We Meet on Vacation Coming Out?

In her newsletter titled “Emily’s Grocery List,” Henry finally revealed that the film will premiere exclusively on Netflix on January 9. While the story is basically tailor-made to be a summer spectacle, we’re willing to wait longer if it gives us something to look forward to in the new year.

Is There a Trailer?

We officially have a teaser trailer for People We Meet on Vacation, and it’s everything we could’ve wanted and more. The kind of trailer you rewatch over and over and over again because you can’t believe how perfect the two of them are and how perfect the writing already is.

The story might not be everyone’s favorite, but it features some of Emily Henry’s most gorgeous prose, so it’s exciting to think about what else we can watch come to life. In addition, the small clip with their voices does plenty to show us that Bader and Blyth are indeed perfect for Poppy and Alex. In addition to physically reading the books, I also listen to Emily Henry’s books on audio because Julia Whelan is that good of a narrator. So while she’s already sold me on the voice work for Poppy and Alex, it’s thrilling to get different versions that hit just as hard.

Edited: December 2, 2025. We now have an official trailer, and it’s everything. Featuring key moments from the book to continue showcasing how Alex and Poppy feel like they’ve been shaken right out of the book, there’s something so magnetic about how it’s all mixed together. Amanda Woods would be so hard. This is how you deliver a trailer. This is how you bring in key moments from the book to showcase why the entire fandom is giddy with excitement. Let’s all just replay it a few times while we cry, shall we?
