Everything We Know About The Batman 2

Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the best adaptations of the DC comic we’ve had in a long time, but at this point, it’s been far too long of a wait for the sequel. With the DCEU producing films like Superman and Supergirl within a year of each other, it’s easy to wonder why The Batman 2 is taking so long and how it’ll impact the viewing experience at that point in time.

What Is The Batman 2 About?

There’s very little we even know about the long-awaited sequel at this point, and the one thing Reeves’ latest camera test shows is that the caped crusader’s ears seem to be a little longer in his costume. The decision seems to be intentional, as proven by this comment from Reeves himself on Twitter, but the reasoning behind it is something we won’t know about for a while.

The Batman 2 will include stars Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch. Unfortunately, Zoe Kravitz will not be reprising her role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, which is an absolute bummer for those of us who’ve always loved the romance as part of the character’s canon. Still, it’ll be riveting how the sequel can explore Bruce Wayne’s new arc, and if it’s taking this long, then hopefully it’s solid still.

We’ll likely get more announcements as we get closer to the release.

Is There a Trailer for The Batman 2?

At this point, it’s far too early for a trailer or even a teaser outside of the camera-test Reeves released, but we’ll update this when there’s a teaser.

When Is The Batman 2 Coming Out?

The film is now delayed once more, and this time, we won’t be getting it until 2028. Should there be no more delays, the new release date is now February 18, which will mark nearly six years since we first watched Robert Pattinson step into the prominent hero’s shoes.
