The Mandalorian and Grogu Is Now Available for Digital Purchase

The Mandalorian and Grogu still

The Mandalorian and Grogu wasn’t exactly a huge theatrical success for Disney and Star Wars, but still, the adorable film did well enough to garner an 87% audience score, despite its 60% rating accumulated from critics’ reviews. At the same time, while the price of the theatrical experience is wildly too high now if you don’t subscribe to perks like AMC A-List, it’s likely that some families are still waiting for its Disney+ release, knowing that even if it’s much later, it’ll certainly be available at some point.

In addition, the movie’s release in May likely meant that many kids were still in school and therefore, they weren’t exactly running to the theater the way that they might’ve been for a movie like Toy Story 5. However, since it seems unlikely that the series will return for a fourth season, The Mandalorian and Grogu is the next best place to catch the unexpectedly precious father and son duo.

Is The Mandalorian and Grogu Available For Streaming?

The film is now available for digital purchase only, giving viewers 30 days to start watching and 48 hours to watch as many times as they’d like once they begin. The physical media release will follow next, and is currently available for pre-order in a number of different formats, set to release on August 25.

However, knowing Disney, there’s a very slim chance that the film could release on streaming sooner than September, if not later. And if families are still waiting to watch, perhaps a collective movie night might be the best and most affordable option right now. Regardless, the Jon Favreau-directed feature is undoubtedly worth watching at least once, and if for no other reason than to get some adorable moments that are likely to offer a serotonin boost for anyone who needs it.

The biggest appeal of The Mandalorian was never its space adventures, but every little moment we got with the characters that gave us growth and entertainment on the small screen. And these days, aren’t we all just searching for joy wherever we can find it?
