When we last saw James Beaufort and Ruby Bell in Maxton Hall Season 2, everything around them had crumbled. The world as they knew it would be changing, but everything they’d found with each other could only grow. We see as much in the Season 3 teaser, when it’s clear that, if nothing else, their love is stronger than ever.
This is only the teaser, so we’ll likely be getting a full-length trailer closer to its December 9 release date, but even in the .39 seconds we get, their loyalty to one another is substantial. It’s bigger than anything either of them has ever known, and it’s something they’ll be fighting for to the end.

We have confirmation that Maxton Hall Season 3 will officially be the end of the show, and while that’s always heartbreaking from a fan’s point of view, where writing is concerned, it’s a good decision. Because you never want to risk the potential of seeing too much drama as opposed to the romance. You never want extra angst just to fill the space with something that’s done solely for shock value.
As a show, there’s already so much happening with the characters that we can’t keep putting them through the wringer. The constant struggles they’re both facing will get too heartbreaking at some point. So while I’m sad to see that this is the end of the show, the teaser gives me a lot of hope that it’ll be done in a way that honors both characters and their love story in the way that it deserves.
