It feels like it’s been ages since Cobra Kai Season 5 aired, but viewers finally get news about the show’s sixth and final season. There’s still a lot we don’t know, but Cobra Kai Season 6 is marketed as a grand, three-part finale, which heightens all our emotions.
When Is Cobra Kai Season 6 Coming to Netflix?
Part 1 will be released on July 18, Part 2 on November 28, and Part 3 sometime in the new year (2025). Netflix splitting seasons remains a confusing puzzle that ultimately makes very little sense because, at this point, we might as well start airing shows weekly like cable. However, that’s not what the streamer is for, and its means of providing viewers with something to binge is precisely why it stands out. However, this change in Cobra Kai Season 6 is pretty exciting, mainly because we get more episodes than usual.
Instead of Netflix releasing the series in eight episodes as it does with most shows, the final season of Cobra Kai will be fifteen episodes. Imaginably, we’ll have it split with fives, which is still primarily exciting. The grand slam’s description reads: “Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our sense is and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai—the world championships of karate.” This also solidifies that, as far as we know, most cast members will be returning.
In a sense, what also adds to the nostalgia factor here is that the final season could feel more and more like the original trilogy. The three-part release will build up on that excitement and simultaneously allow viewers to sit with these characters for a little while longer. This could build up the tension and allow us viewers to make bigger connections with the narrative. It could also bring more out of the characters, making the season’s grandness feel like an experience on the small screen.
