The first season of Rivals was a dizzying, delicious treat that gorgeously adapted the first half of the late Dame Jilly Cooper’s novel of the same title, and now, almost two years later, we’re finally about to get Season 2 and all that it has to offer in the next half. While the series is right around the corner, information is still pretty scarce.
Still, I just can’t wait to be back in the Cotswolds with all the chaos, angst, and turmoil the show has to offer.
When Is Rivals Season 2 Coming Out?
Unfortunately, Rivals Season 2 won’t drop all at once the way Season 1 did, which is a good thing for those of us who prefer savoring our media; however, the twelve episodes will be split between different airdates. The first three episodes will air on May 15, then presumably after that we’ll get the next three weekly before a date is announced for the next half.
Is There a Trailer?
There’s no official trailer, but the above teaser promises plenty of chaos, scandal, and everything we’ve come to love about Rivals. The single shot of Ruper Campbell Black and Taggie O’Hara has kept us going since its release, and knowing what’s to come in the novel, we’re in for the best kind of ride with this show when it returns for Season 2.
What Will Rivals Season 2 Be About?
Rivals will likely follow in the second half of Jilly Cooper’s novel, or it could even break it down into a single corner, judging by whether it’ll return for Season 3 or reinvent itself as another part of the expansive book series while still keeping the title. Most original cast members will be returning, with new faces like Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett joining as guest stars.
Rivals Part 2 will release on November 11.
