It’s been way too long since we last left Camden with the uncertainties that Trying Season 4 left us with through its wild finale, and now, at last, we not only have a release date for Trying Season 5, but a bit more information on where the season will take our favorite characters.
The most important question here is, will Darren Boyd’s Scott return, or did he really die at the end of the presumed car accident in Season 4? We don’t have much information on this naturally, as the show would want that to be a big Season 5 premiere reveal, but the rest, we’ve got some crumbs to hold us over until the show returns.
What Will Trying Season 5 Be About?
The official synopsis from an Apple TV press release reads: “Season 5 finds Nikki (Smith) and Jason (Spall) dealing with the consequences of Princess (Scarlett Rayner) and Tyler’s (Cooper Turner) biological mother, Kat (Charlotte Riley), turning up at their doorstep, and the whirlwind of chaos she brings into their settled family life.”
We were already anxious about this at the last few seconds of the episode, but now that it’s actually something the series will explore, there’s surprisingly a lot more ease in the investment portion. At its core, Trying is a show about a found family and parenthood, so it’s hard to believe they’d do anything to take the kids away from Nikki and Jason. But the idea of expanding their little family with Kat? Now, that can be interesting.
Is There a Trailer?
It’s a little too early for a trailer at the moment, so we’ll update this article when we get one in the next few weeks, hopefully.
When Does Trying Season 5 Release?
Trying Season 5 releases on July 8, with weekly drops until August 26. Our summer is booked and busy with yet another delightful romance to keep us glued to our screens, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
