OUAT in Wonderland 1×04 “The Serpent” Recap

reviews

One wish down, Two to go. When will she make them? Will she save them until she has rescued Cyrus in order to make Knave human again?! It’s a shame that he’s literally motionless as he and Alice were an epic duo. Jafar, like most villains, started out despising the fact that in order to be powerful, innocent people must suffer. Ultimately, just as many noted villains, he wasn’t born evil, he was made. His entire reasoning behind gaining power was to get revenge on his father. He was so distraught as a child that he knew what revenge was

Spoilers Ahead Flashbacks: The episode opens up with bandit Snow running from the Evil Queen, you know usual stuff, but she’s rescued by a brave little mermaid we all know and love as Ariel (JoAnna Garcia). According to Ariel, legend says that during the highest tide, sea goddess Ursula grants mermen and mermaids the ability to walk on land. Snow White and Ariel go to Prince Eric’s ball where Eric reveals that he’s seen her (Ariel) as his true love. He presents her with an offer to travel the world with him, and knowing she only has a few hours until

Spoilers ahead: This episode opens up with the lost boys capturing Neal and ends with him being hung with someone else captured. Who do you guys think it’ll be? It doesn’t seem like it’ll be Rumple because who can capture him? Do you think it’s a character we haven’t met yet, a little mermaid perhaps? In flashbacks, we meet young Lieutenant Killian Jones, and his brother Captain Liam Jones as they set sail to Neverland to bring back a plant that they’re told is the cure to all things terrible. But in reality, it’s Dream Shade they’re after. Pan warns

Didn’t see that twist coming did you? It’s okay, neither did we and that’s what’s so fantastic about it. Hello again, Robin Hood. This week’s episode showed Will Scarlett’s (Knave of Hearts) origin in The Merry Men. His desire to be a part of them was to steal magic from Maleficent by convincing them they were going to steal gold to give to the poor. After finding out about what he’s done Hood lets him go and he’s reunited with Anastasia (The Red Queen) where they go off into Wonderland together. Meanwhile, in modern-day, Jafar and the Red Queen are

Spoilers Ahead We have the “Operation Henry” group discussing their plan with Tinkerbell – a plan which they clearly hadn’t thought threw because there was no exit plan. This leads them to Bae’s “home” in Neverland where they find a map he created, a map only he can read. Meanwhile, father and son reunite in a truly heartbreaking scene as Neal cannot believe Rumple’s intentions are honorable. They sure seemed honorable to us as he told Neal he was his happy ending. This is our take on the whole undoing thing: Henry won’t be Rumple’s undoing as a man but

How’s everyone liking Wonderland so far? So far, though we don’t know much, it’s great in our book. This episode was centered around locating the genie’s bottle (modern-day) and falling in love (flashback). Alice and Knave set out to locate Cyrus’ bottle in order to bring him back from wherever he’s being held captive. There are a few obstacles in the way such as Knave not being able to swim and the fairy Silvermist being against him because of a past we’ll soon learn about. Similarly, both Jafar and the Red Queen are after the bottle as well, and by

Spoilers Ahead Tinkerbell not only met all expectations we’ve had but without a doubt exceeded them. I remember crying during the cartoon when no one believed in her, and I’m not going to lie, I held back tears as Blue lost faith in her. What a scene. Pixie Dust never lies, does it? That being said, Robin Hood and Regina were meant to be soul mates. Surely though, that flashback wasn’t the end of Hood Queen. What’s to come in the future definitely looks promising of greatness.  Speaking of Regina, it’s always good to see her heart and not literally, as we

Spoilers Ahead The long awaited premiere has arrived and it was fantastic. What’s particularly great about the show is how surreal Wonderland actually looks. In the scenery itself, it’s unearthly and as kids, isn’t that how we all perceived it? The sole fact that it’s so exaggerated is what makes it enjoyable. If you aren’t already watching, it’s a nice escape and you should stop reading, and start watching. The story begins with the beloved Alice coming home and telling her father about the marvels in Wonderland, surely a bad idea as she spends a great amount of time in

Spoilers Ahead For starters, we’d like to congratulate everyone in this fandom: you’ve survived yet another bloody brilliant episode. Give yourselves a pat on the back. As always, Once Upon A Time has arose countless questions and brought on screen magnificence: What do you all think of Rumplestiltskin ripping out his own shadow? Does this mean that a person could willingly do so and not die as opposed to Pan or the lost boys doing it? Furthermore, this episode did a great job of illuminating the lost children and Rumple is definitely one as well. His father abandoned him, it’s that simple. How
